Ardennen Camping Bertrix is located on one of the most beautiful spots in the Belgian Ardennes, between the historic towns of Bouillon and Bastogne. This magnificent four-star campsite joined Ardenne & Gaume Camping holidays on 1 January 2007 and has been given an 8.7 rating by the ANWB.
The campsite borders directly on the Herbeumont Forest and has been this particularly spaciously set up and consists of a variety of terraces with a panoramic view on the hilly landscape of the Semois valley. For those seeking peace and quiet as well as adventure seekers, Ardennen Camping Bertrix is an ideal holiday destination where nature is still well and truly present.
The campsite offers spacious pitches and modern facilities. There are also fully equipped comfort caravans and (simple) ‘ Ardennes cabins’ for rent. In the middle of the campsite are extensive sports and games facilities, a heated swimming pool and a bar/restaurant. The sunny outdoor cafe offers a good view of the swimming pool, sports facilities and the magnificent surroundings.
In most school holidays, Ardennen Camping Bertrix, together with the enthusiastic recreation team, offers ongoing activities for children and adults. There is a wide selection of sports and game tournaments, spectacular shows and special theme days. The stunning natural environment becomes the setting for numerous challenging outdoor sports they are organised from the campsite.
The surroundings offer countless possibilities for pleasant outings and excursions. Hikers and bikers can choose from thousands of beautiful trails that go past spectacular lookout points. The well-known town of Bouillon brings the mediaeval period back to life and in Bastogne, you can learn everything about the “Battle of the Bulge” of the Second World War. Both towns offer great shopping opportunities, several weekend markets and fine dining in local restaurants.
