Outdoor sports
The Belgian Ardennes and Gaume region are particularly suitable for doing outdoor sports. In cooperation with specialised companies, we organise outdoor sports activities at all our sites and people pay to do the sports they want to participate in. The activities are adapted to the level of the participants so that everyone can get the best out of themselves in a relaxed atmosphere. The experienced enthusiastic instructors are trained at CIOS and ALO in the Netherlands and at BLOSO/ADEPS in Belgium.
Various activities
For the outdoor sports activities offered, we make the best possible use of opportunities in the immediate surroundings. For beginners and experts, we offer a variety of activities on the programme every day; for instance:
- Mountain biking
- High rope courses
- Shooting and archery
- Abseiling
- Climbing
- Potholing
- Trip through the mines
- Canoeing
Activities
During most school holidays, we offer a wide-ranging and innovative activity programme for children of all ages at all our campsites. For over ten years, this has even been a core activity of Ardenne & Gaume Camping Holidays and for many people it’s a reason for being (return) visitors at our campsites. There is always something to do.
Every day is a new experience
Every day during the summer months, we organise activities for children from various age groups. There is a weekly changing activity programme that includes Ardennes Rangers activities. In addition, every morning there is a kids’ club where children make things, sing and dance. During the day there are a variety of activities. Every evening, there is interactive theatre and there are regularly playback shows, entertainment shows and other amusement.
Sport, games & entertainment
Besides the activity programme for children, there is also a lot to do for adults, together or with the whole family. There are regularly sports tournaments, for example like (beach) volleyball, badminton and petanque tournaments. There are also game evenings and other activities like Zeskamp (Belgian/Dutch version of It’s a Knockout), a (treasure) hunt, a quiz evening or a bingo evening. The Chinese lantern or torch procession has been a big hit for years and is an opportunity to take fantastic photos. There is also singing and dancing around the evening campfire.
There are also daily performances of live music with various bands, dance groups and male and female vocalists. On theme days and evenings, such as Western Day, everything revolves around the chosen theme, like the Wild West during Western Day and witches and ghosts during Horror Night.
True Burgundians can indulge themselves during the beer and wine tasting events during which Belgian (Trappist) beers and various regional wines are served.
